Senior Director - MDP Compensation & Equity Programs

Location: Boston or London. London-based candidates must be flexible to work with US-based colleagues and stakeholders outside standard UK hours as needed.

Base salary for the Boston location: $195,000–$227,500 annually. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance bonus of up to 45%, retirement contributions, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise Managing Directors and Partners on compensation, equity, performance outcomes, equity purchases, sales, and related cash and tax implications.
• Lead and maintain country compensation and equity programs aligned with US and local tax law, employment law, partnership concepts, and global principles.
• Manage compensation and equity matters related to international mobility, lateral hires, and departures from the partnership.
• Assess program risks and opportunities, adapting arrangements as market and regulatory environments evolve.
• Develop clear recommendations and communications for senior leaders on complex, sensitive compensation and equity matters.
• Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Controllers, Treasury, Finance, PSG colleagues, and external advisors to ensure compliance and effective implementation.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant professional experience with significant tax and/or legal expertise.
• Experience applying tax or legal expertise to complex compensation, equity, partnership, global mobility, or employment matters; US experience is preferred.
• Significant experience advising and influencing senior leaders on complex and sensitive issues.
• Professional tax, legal, or accounting qualification is desirable.
• Experience working across functions and geographies in a complex multinational environment.
• London-based candidates must be able to collaborate with US-based stakeholders outside standard UK hours when required.
