TL;DR
Legal Counsel (Retail): Providing legal support across QVC’s UK video commerce, retail, marketing, broadcasting, streaming, and e-commerce operations with an accent on commercial contracts, intellectual property, product compliance, and regulatory risk. Focus on negotiating complex business agreements, advising on social shopping and emerging platforms, and improving legal processes through data, playbooks, technology, and AI tools.
Location: UK, West London, Chiswick; hybrid work with onsite attendance at Chiswick Park two days a week

What you will do
- Advise across the UK business on merchandising, marketing, TV broadcasting, streaming distribution, product compliance, intellectual property, and celebrity agreements.
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts covering product procurement, video content distribution, e-commerce platforms, TV studios, distribution centres, offices, and brand marketing.
- Support strategic projects involving social shopping, streaming, and emerging customer engagement platforms.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments, identify compliance risks, and improve risk management practices.
- Improve legal processes, data, playbooks, and the use of technology and AI tools in collaboration with Legal Operations.
Requirements
- Law degree.
- Approximately 1–3 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
