Vertical Operations Manager (West)

Location: Phoenix, AZ, United States. The role includes on-site and field-based activities, travel to customer locations, and work in vehicle service areas, rental facilities, dealerships, manufacturing sites, and warehouses.

Annual base salary: $110,000–$125,000, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Own delivery, installation, maintenance, and lifecycle service execution for Fleet, Rental, or Dealership operations.
• Plan resources, ensure safety and quality compliance, meet installation timelines, and maintain service-level commitments.
• Partner with Sales and Implementation to validate commitments, identify risks, and create executable operational plans.
• Lead Field Service Engineers and Service Operations Coordinators, including utilization, technical readiness, and capacity planning.
• Manage installation partners and contractors by monitoring cost, quality, and execution performance.
• Track operational KPIs and OKRs, including on-time delivery, first-time fix rates, utilization, and cost per installation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading field operations, service delivery, or technical operations teams.
• Experience managing distributed Field Service Engineers or technical field teams.
• Experience in automotive, fleet, rental, dealership, or a similar operational environment.
• Experience with cross-functional initiatives, capacity planning, resource allocation, forecasting, and high-volume deployment projects.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and installation partners, with strong knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred; PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
