Maintenance Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Optimize manufacturing processes through DOE evaluations, engineering reports, root cause analysis, structured problem solving, and new line setup or modification.
• Set up, simulate, qualify, and integrate new assembly machines into production lines.
• Deliver automation projects involving PLCs, electrical wiring, and mechanical design from prototype qualification through mass production.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, replacement tracking, performance monitoring, calibration documentation, and audit data preparation.
• Update equipment layouts and create engineering drawings with dimensions and fits for innovation and fabrication projects.
• Provide line support and manage fixed assets and scrap according to company policies.

Requirements

• Degree or background in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, IATF/TS 16949, and ISO 14001 quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and at least 2 years of project leadership experience, including Six Sigma projects, new FOL/EOL manufacturing line setup, or 8D problem solving.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising technical personnel.
• Proficient in English and able to collaborate with colleagues from different nationalities.
