Product Development Engineer (Semiconductor)

Salary: $117,800–$172,800 annually

What you will do

• Develop requirements specifications and test plans for next-generation EUV mask inspection platforms.
• Coordinate with mechanical, optical, electrical, software, and systems engineering groups to define and review designs.
• Integrate and test prototypes, assemblies, subsystems, and complete inspection systems.
• Execute performance validation tests, analyze results, and document calibration, manufacturing, and service procedures.
• Troubleshoot system and subsystem issues and implement solutions with functional teams.
• Support customers and lead troubleshooting efforts in manufacturing and field environments.

Requirements

• Doctorate in an engineering or physical science discipline with 0 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 3 years, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Strong engineering or physical science background with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience troubleshooting optics, opto-mechanics, and motion control systems.
• Industrial experience in system engineering, mechatronics, optical systems, imaging systems, complex systems, or vacuum systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to functional groups, management, and customers.
• Occasional travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with lasers, illumination systems, and CCD/CMOS cameras.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced program and respond quickly to field and internal escalations.
