Sr Mechanical Design Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Livermore, California, United States; regular day shift

Salary: $90,500–$118,755 per year, depending on experience, skills, and background

What you will do

• Design probe card mechanical components, development test vehicles, and tooling fixtures.
• Generate, release, and maintain design drawings and bills of materials.
• Develop mechanical assembly processes, work instructions, and production training.
• Perform probe card performance characterization in a laboratory environment and support product characterization.
• Investigate mechanical assembly issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for production and customer applications.
• Collaborate with R&D, Process Integration, and Operations while maintaining design, process, and training documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience, an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with mechanical component design, material selection, design for manufacturing, GD&T, and structural analysis.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Python, JMP Pro, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving, detail-orientation, multitasking, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Livermore, California, during the regular day shift.
