Technical Product Manager for Robotaxi

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid working model with in-person collaboration and remote work.

What you will do

• Own the Japan L4 Robotaxi product strategy, roadmap, and product requirements from zero to one.
• Lead cross-functional working groups across Engineering, HMI, AI, Systems, and Operations to deliver core launches in 2026.
• Represent Japanese riders, gather and prioritize rider and partner feedback, and contribute to technical system design.
• Coordinate AI, software, hardware, policy, operations, and partner teams to resolve bugs and ship features.
• Establish launch readiness through partner integrations, customer-use-case coverage, AI driver performance, issue tracking, and risk management.
• Use data and metrics to guide product decisions and remain accountable for Robotaxi performance in Japan.

Requirements

• Proven technical product management experience shipping products with a consumer mindset in a highly technical domain.
• Strong technical background in AI/ML, software engineering, robotics, or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience working independently in fast-paced, iterative environments with changing priorities.
• Full fluency in Japanese and English is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• End-to-end delivery experience for autonomous-vehicle features with engineering, systems, safety, and validation teams.
• Understanding of HMI, UX, or robotaxi products.
• Knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, Software 2.0, autonomous driving, or large-scale simulation.
• Analytical and data-driven approach.
