Product Manager - EC First Party Development Department (ECFD) (E-commerce)

What you will do

• Research users, markets, industries, and operational data to identify customer and partner needs.
• Define product requirements and functional specifications based on technical and operational insights.
• Monitor product KPIs and report findings to stakeholders.
• Coordinate product design and development meetings across teams, groups, and external partners.
• Create product visions and mid- to long-term roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
• Act as a Service Owner and maximize value for customers and partners across first-party e-commerce services.

Requirements

• Growth mindset, flexibility, and willingness to learn new skills and domain knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Business-level Japanese is required.
• Experience with product requirements, functional specifications, project planning, or software engineering is beneficial.
• Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative customer or business-operation data is beneficial.
• The role is based in Tokyo, Japan.

Nice to have

• BSc or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Product management experience in e-commerce or retail systems, including logistics, order management, payments, or CRM.
• Knowledge of retail sectors such as fashion, commodities, medical products, supermarkets, or drugstores.
• Experience evangelizing products to industries, customers, and partners.
• TOEIC score of 800 or above.
