What you will do
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication.
- Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and write user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to drive continuous product improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering, UI/UX, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery.
- Define and track KPIs to measure product success and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in web system development and project management.
- Experience working directly with software engineers and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SDLC and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Business level proficiency in both English and Japanese.
- Must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
Nice to have
- Advanced Degree (MS or PhD).
- Experience in B2C product development and Loyalty Services.
- Ability to create technical documents such as API Specifications and DB Relationship Diagrams.
- Experience with modern project management tools, preferably JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience working with cross-cultural global teams in different locations.
