Consultant, Competitive Intelligence – Annuity Fixed

Location: Plaza One, downtown Columbus, Ohio; 3 days in office and 2 days remote

Salary: $97,000–$145,000 expected starting range; $97,000–$180,000 national range annually

What you will do

• Retrieve, manipulate, validate, and document competitive intelligence data.
• Conduct statistical analyses, data mining, market research, and hypothesis investigations.
• Develop recommendations on competitive position, annuity products, rates, and business decisions.
• Maintain competitive intelligence tools, reports, coding, and vendor software.
• Plan and lead research projects, including timelines, deliverables, peer reviews, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Present analytical findings to internal, external, corporate, and executive audiences and train users on tools and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, computer science, business, finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, management information systems, or a related quantitative field.
• Typically 8–10 years of experience in pricing, actuarial, product, or a related business function, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and probability, with demonstrated analytical accuracy and timely delivery.
• Ability to use database software, including SAS, SQL, or similar applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain findings and recommendations to business partners.
• Employment does not include employer-sponsored work authorization; hirify.global does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program.

Nice to have

• SAS certification.
• Insurance licenses or designations such as CPCU, ARM, CLU, ChFC, FLMI, CFP, or NASD.
• Programming or web development experience.
