Pricing Analyst (Insurance)

Location: New York, Manhattan; hybrid work requiring two days per week in the office

Salary: $85,000–$125,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Maintain and streamline the quarterly rate indication process, including methodologies, assumptions, documentation, validation, data, and results communication.
• Apply actuarial techniques such as loss development, trending, premium on-leveling, permissible loss ratio development, and generalized linear models.
• Develop rates and factors for new products, monitor product performance, track rate adequacy, and recommend rate changes.
• Build data processes by understanding data structures, creating SQL queries, validating data, and resolving inconsistencies.
• Communicate product concerns and recommendations using PowerPoint and Tableau visualizations.
• Organize rate filing support and assist senior pricing team members with projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 0–3 years of pricing experience.
• Progress toward CAS actuarial accreditation; one or more exams preferred.
• Coding skills in SQL, VBA, and/or R.
• Strong written and verbal communication, knowledge development drive, adaptability, and mental agility.
