Director of Product Design (AI)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be located in the US, with the SF Bay Area preferred

Salary: $250,000–$275,000 base salary, plus potential equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product design experience across Flow, HDS, ADS, and DSPM.
• Define the experience vision for human and AI-agent collaboration, including investigation, explainability, trust, and override patterns.
• Lead, coach, and grow a product design team while raising standards for craft, critique, and decision-making.
• Own UX research and ground design decisions in customer interviews, usability testing, support signals, RFEs, and product instrumentation.
• Partner with product management and engineering to shape problem definitions, scope, design systems, and platform migration.
• Establish design metrics covering usability, task success, resolution time, adoption, and support deflection, and represent customer experience in executive forums.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, including 4+ years leading and developing designers.
• Portfolio demonstrating shipped end-to-end work for complex products and experience setting and delivering an experience vision.
• Experience designing complex enterprise software for expert users in security, IT operations, observability, data infrastructure, or similar domains.
• Experience designing AI-powered or agentic product experiences, with a clear perspective on trust, transparency, control, and model failures.
• Strong systems thinking, information architecture, design systems, UX research, executive communication, and people leadership skills.
• Must be located in the US; SF Bay Area is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity, security operations, insider risk, or data protection.
• Experience leading design through a major platform migration or product consolidation.
• Experience building a design function, including hiring, leveling, processes, and operating rhythms.
