Employment type: Full time

Company

hirify.global develops hardware and software products that enable collaboration, communication, and personal workspace experiences.

What you will do

  • Perform optical design, geometric and non-sequential ray tracing, tolerance analysis, and stray-light and flare simulations using tools such as Zemax, Code V, and LightTools.
  • Lead data-driven root cause analysis for optical anomalies across RGB, IR, and depth/ToF sensors and different lens configurations.
  • Review and verify ODM and supplier optical designs, tolerance stack-ups, thermal behavior, validation plans, and measurement results.
  • Co-develop camera modules by integrating image sensors, lenses, active optical systems, VCM actuators, and auto-focus mechanisms.
  • Define optical test specifications, acceptance criteria, test charts, and guardbands, and correlate laboratory and factory test stations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, ISP, quality, supplier, and program management teams throughout product development and mass production.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience with optical design and simulation tools such as Zemax, Code V, LightTools, TracePro, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience diagnosing optical anomalies, reviewing supplier designs, and analyzing tolerance, sensitivity, stray-light, and thermal behavior.
  • Experience integrating camera modules, image sensors, lenses, CRA matching, active optical systems, VCM actuators, and auto-focus algorithms.
  • Ability to analyze complex optical test data and distinguish real optical behavior from measurement artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD tools such as Creo/ProE or SolidWorks, plus DFMEA, DFMA, PSS, and optical tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required and collaborate across multiple engineering functions.

Nice to have

  • 7 or more years of engineering experience in consumer imaging, video collaboration, security cameras, or automotive vision.
  • Experience with NPI builds, factory optical test bring-up, and lab-to-factory correlation studies.
  • Experience working in multi-site and cross-regional engineering environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Flexible work environments and a culture focused on collaboration, inclusion, equality, and sustainability.
  • Comprehensive benefits packages that vary by location.
  • Support for physical, financial, emotional, intellectual, and social wellbeing.
  • Inclusive employment practices and accommodation support during the application process.
