Service Technician (Autonomous Electric Vehicles)

Location: Onsite in Austin, Texas; available to local candidates only. Remote work and relocation are not available.

hirify.global is a U.S.-based autonomous vehicle startup developing and operating autonomous cars and delivery robots.

What you will do

• Assess and document vehicle damage after road incidents.
• Perform minor onsite repairs and coordinate major repairs with partner service centers.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections covering brakes, fluids, air conditioning, tires, and other vehicle systems.
• Monitor vehicle condition, identify emerging issues, and maintain fleet readiness.
• Support field operations by overseeing evacuations and towing after incidents.
• Transport vehicles to service appointments, repair facilities, and car washes while maintaining shop cleanliness and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an automotive technician or in a similar mechanical role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and electric vehicle fundamentals.
• Clean driving record and a valid Texas driver's license.
• Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Comfort working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as an EV Technician.
• Experience with ADAS vehicles.
