What you will do
- Install, integrate, and validate electrical distribution systems, including wiring harnesses, power distribution units, fuses, relays, and connectors.
- Integrate electrical systems across sensor, compute, and actuation modules on autonomous truck platforms.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, shorts, and wiring issues on prototype and production vehicles.
- Build, test, and repair automotive-grade wiring harnesses and support related mechanical assembly.
- Support vehicle build, integration, and test cycles while verifying reliability and safety for on-road use.
- Document builds, test results, and issue resolution using PLM and document control tools, collaborating with engineering teams.
Requirements
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical/Electronics Technology, Automotive Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with automotive or industrial electrical distribution systems, wiring harnesses, or related work.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.
- Working knowledge of low-voltage vehicle electrical systems; experience with 12V, 24V, or high-voltage automotive systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70E or equivalent electrical safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, crimping tools, multimeters, continuity testers, and oscilloscopes.
Nice to have
- Autonomous vehicle or automotive industry experience.
- Experience integrating sensors and compute systems on vehicle platforms.
- Familiarity with PLM tools and document revision control.
