Location: Full-time onsite at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

What you will do
- Act as the onsite safety point of contact at ATL, identifying and resolving operational hazards.
- Define quantitative safety thresholds, categorize mitigation severity, lead review cadences, and maintain event-to-analysis traceability.
- Review near-miss concepts using Hex, Jira, and operator feedback, and write escalation logic for anomalies and off-nominal conditions.
- Own autonomy release, incident, and pre-departure checklists; assess vehicle readiness and sign off on operational readiness before new feature releases.
- Conduct weekly shadow shifts across morning and evening operations to evaluate driver behavior and field conditions.
- Partner with Operations Training, the Training Supervisor, and Airport Rescue and Firefighting teams on certifications, safety protocols, and mitigation debriefs.
Requirements
- Experience in ramp operations, airfield safety, airline or airport operations, industrial robotics, or automated logistics hubs.
- Demonstrated ability to identify operational hazards and establish structured mitigation workflows.
- Strong, assertive communication skills and the ability to stop operations when safety is compromised.
- Full-time onsite presence at ATL is required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license, clean driving record, ATL airport badge eligibility, fingerprint-based background check, and ATL airfield driving permit are required.
- Complete internal autonomous-driving training and certification within the first 60 days of employment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with airside safety regulations, ramp safety standards, or ground-handling procedures.
- Experience with autonomous functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.
