TL;DR
Certified Medical Assistant Float-Multi Specialty North Region (Healthcare): Supporting physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff across outpatient clinics with an accent on patient flow, vital signs, clinical procedures, and administrative coordination. Focus on providing flexible float coverage, performing venipuncture and ECGs, maintaining safe treatment areas, and traveling between multiple North Region sites.

Location: Full-time onsite role at the Lake Forest hospital campus with local travel required to Grayslake, Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, Glenview, Gurnee, Vernon Hills, Highland Park, and Deerfield. Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; eight-hour shifts with variable start and end times.

Salary: $20.25–$26.33 per hour

What you will do

  • Support physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical staff across multiple outpatient clinic locations.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, obtain and document vital signs, update medical information, and communicate changes to providers.
  • Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, waived laboratory testing, and other specialty procedures.
  • Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow, prioritize tasks, protect patient confidentiality, and contribute to patient satisfaction.
  • Provide flexible float coverage and travel locally between hirify.global sites as staffing needs change.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA, or written proof of eligibility for an approved certification examination.
  • Certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment, with up to two test attempts.
  • American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules and travel locally between assigned clinic locations is required.

Nice to have

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
  • Experience with laboratory draws, ECGs, rooming, and vital signs.
