Intern-Controls Technician (Building Automation)

Location: King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; field-based work at customer locations. Multiple opportunities may be remote, hybrid, or onsite at facilities across North America.

Salary: $19.44–$28.08 per hour.

What you will do

• Support engineering programming and material selection for construction projects.
• Assist senior controls technicians with controls startup activities at active construction sites.
• Perform graphic programming for customer control systems.
• Program and configure Trane controllers.
• Coordinate with electrical subcontractors on control installations.
• Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, owners, project managers, and engineering teams about scope, budgets, performance, close-out, and project issues.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Building Automation, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and practices.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months and proof of insurance.
• No major or frequent traffic violations, including recent DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, or multiple preventable infractions.
