TL;DR

Technical Automation QA (Playwright/TypeScript): Designing and evolving automation frameworks for a digital education platform with an accent on Playwright, TypeScript, and AI-driven testing. Focus on building scalable test suites, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and implementing MCP-based automation components.

Location: Hybrid in Singapore (2 days in-office, 3 days remote) or Remote in locations without company offices

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript for web and API testing.
  • Define and evolve the test automation strategy, processes, and best practices.
  • Develop robust and reusable test suites for regression, smoke, and integration testing.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) to ensure fast feedback loops.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to stabilize test environments and data.
  • Implement AI-assisted testing tools and MCP-based automation components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in QA and automation, including 2+ years with Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript and/or Python, REST API testing, and SQL.
  • Proficiency with Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Git for continuous integration and source control.
  • Fluent English proficiency (written and verbal).

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI-powered or model-based testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Knowledge of mobile automation frameworks such as Appium.
  • Understanding of MCP architecture for modular automation.
  • Experience working in Agile or Kanban environments.
