TL;DR
Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (AI/Cybersecurity): Building and maintaining automated testing infrastructure for customer portals, browser extensions, endpoint agents, backend services, and MCP gateways with an accent on cross-platform coverage, load testing, and CI/CD integration. Focus on designing test frameworks, investigating platform-specific bugs, creating quality gates, and validating security products at scale.
Location: London, England — hybrid or remote

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, browser extensions, endpoint agents, and backend services.
- Build and execute cross-platform tests on Windows, macOS, and Linux using virtual machines or real devices.
- Expand and investigate load tests to validate system behavior and scalability.
- Investigate bugs, create failing tests, write detailed tickets, and verify fixes with engineers.
- Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI, establish quality gates, and maintain useful test reports.
- Monitor test coverage, triage issues, and contribute to the QA roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET building and maintaining automated test infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of TypeScript, Java, or Rust.
- Experience with modern test frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Bun test, Vitest, JUnit5, Selenium, or cargo test.
- Experience with cross-platform testing, environment setup, platform-specific debugging, and virtual machines or real machines.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI or similar systems, quality gates, Git, and code review.
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools to improve workflows and productivity.
Nice to have
- Experience testing endpoint agents, browser extensions, backend services, or security products.
- Ability to work creatively through complex and custom testing challenges.
