Field Service Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The role includes remote work eligibility and approximately 80% travel, primarily within the region, with possible overnight travel.

What you will do

• Visit customers to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades for imaging solutions.
• Install and configure imaging systems, including customer network requirements.
• Prepare Salesforce reports, expense submissions, stock management records, and other service documentation.
• Collaborate with APAC product specialists, business units, and field service teams to improve product reliability and technical support.
• Support sales activities through customer training, demonstrations, installations, and system setup.

Requirements

• Field service engineering experience with an associate degree or equivalent technical work experience.
• Education or experience in information technology and networking; mechanical or electronic background is preferred.
• Experience supporting IT systems throughout the product life cycle, preferably in field service or medical devices.
• Knowledge of pathology devices is advantageous.
• Business-level Japanese and English are required.
• Strong communication, independent learning, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
