Systems Support Engineer (Process Systems)

Location: Remote from Japan, with a role based in Tokyo and 70% overnight travel within Japan; occasional overseas visits may be required.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership during system sales, project execution, commissioning, startup, and customer support.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between customers in Japan and global engineering and project teams.
• Participate in customer meetings, site visits, technical presentations, application reviews, and solution development.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering deliverables and support project planning and risk identification.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, FAT, SAT, troubleshooting, and other onsite execution activities.
• Capture lessons learned and promote hirify.global Business System principles across project execution and customer support.

Requirements

• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to travel 70% overnight within Japan, with occasional overseas travel.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience supporting technical discussions, application reviews, solution development, or project execution.
• Ability to coordinate customers, contractors, service teams, and engineering resources.

Nice to have

• Experience with filtration, separation, process systems, brewery, beverage, or food manufacturing applications.
• Experience leading or supporting commissioning and startup activities.
• Strong customer-facing and project coordination skills.
• Experience with global matrix organizations, multinational projects, and cross-cultural teams.
