Associate Distinguished Engineer - Senior Data Leader

Location: New York City, NY, United States; hybrid schedule with 1–2 days in the office per week

Salary: $190,000–$223,000 annual total compensation, including base pay and bonuses, plus benefits

What you will do

• Lead the strategy and delivery of enterprise data platforms across complex, multi-business-unit organisations.
• Design and implement master data management programmes, including match, merge, and survivorship decisions.
• Develop semantic layers and shared business ontologies that work across multiple business units.
• Partner with client data executives while remaining hands-on with modelling and delivery teams.
• Build governance, catalog, lineage, policy, workflow, and enforced data-quality controls.
• Guide platform sequencing and help organisations retire legacy warehouses, MDM stacks, and reporting layers.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in data, including several years in senior architecture or data leadership roles.
• At least two MDM programmes delivered to production with direct accountability for match, merge, and survivorship decisions.
• At least three end-to-end enterprise data platform builds delivered for large, complex organisations.
• Hands-on Snowflake expertise covering architecture, performance, cost, governance, and data sharing.
• Production experience with Reltio or equivalent enterprise MDM, plus Collibra, data-quality tooling, AWS, Google Cloud, dbt, orchestration, streaming, and batch processing.
• Experience designing dimensional and data-vault models and influencing executive stakeholders on data-platform sequencing.
