Data Engineer

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Base salary: $224,000–$279,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build production data pipelines that bring ERP, ATS, project management, construction software, telemetry, and other systems into a queryable layer.
• Own the data model for a live knowledge graph covering sites, equipment, schedules, and people.
• Deliver datasets and services with SLAs for internal tools, dashboards, and machine learning models.
• Transform vendor and field data, PDFs, spreadsheets, and exports into structured, reliable inputs.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production data pipelines used by other teams' products.
• Experience modeling complex real-world domains into durable schemas.
• Strong approach to data quality, including testing, monitoring, and lineage.
• Experience extracting structure from unstructured sources.
• Ability to work quickly with AI tools and modern data stacks while maintaining maintainable systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Postgres, dbt, or data warehouse internals.
• Experience with streaming and eventing.
• Experience with LLM-based extraction.
• Experience with construction, manufacturing, or supply chain data.
