Senior Manager, Trade Compliance (Defense)

Location: Palm Bay, Florida, United States. Onsite role with a 9/80 schedule; travel up to 10% required. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, train, and develop a trade compliance team while setting priorities and planning resources.
• Provide licensing guidance and risk mitigation strategies to support business and financial outcomes.
• Establish and enforce trade compliance policies, procedures, and U.S. regulatory requirements.
• Act as the Empowered Official and oversee compliance with ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations.
• Lead compliance training, internal audits, self-assessments, investigations, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate across business functions to integrate trade compliance requirements into operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of related experience, graduate degree and at least 10 years of related experience, or 16 years of related experience without a degree.
• Experience with U.S. trade regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
• Prior experience serving as an Empowered Official.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance; clearance eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate across functions and business units.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience with OCR EASE, LO/CLO Tri-Service Committee briefings, CPI/Anti-Tamper requirements, or the Foreign Military Sales program.
• Background in defense, aerospace, space, or government contracting.
• Strong strategic, analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
