TL;DR
Contracts Manager I (Aerospace & Defense): Managing the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts for ISR, aviation, and security systems with an accent on proposal support, negotiations, compliance, and contract administration. Focus on evaluating contract risk, coordinating FAR/DFARS and export-control requirements, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and supporting customer and cross-functional stakeholders through contract closeout.

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; office work required. Travel may be required as needed. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Estimated starting salary: $108,496.89–$149,183.22 per year, plus annual performance incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Manage contracts from pre-proposal strategy and solicitation through negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for solicitation and contractual matters, coordinating compliant responses with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor contract performance, funding, cost allocation, deliverables, amendments, and contractual compliance.
  • Draft, review, route, and negotiate agreements, executive summaries, NDAs, teaming agreements, and other strategic documents.
  • Oversee accounts receivable for assigned contracts and provide weekly updates on proposal status, at-risk work, and authorization-to-proceed activity.
  • Guide Contracts Administrators and partner with Program Management, Corporate Counsel, and Export Compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; education may substitute for required experience.
  • 0–5+ years of experience, including negotiating and awarding contracts.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations, contract law, and U.S. Government contracting processes.
  • NCMA CCMA certification or an equivalent professional contracting credential.
  • Strong planning, organization, prioritization, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • 4+ years of government or aerospace and defense contracting experience.
  • Experience improving policies, workflows, organizational effectiveness, and team capability.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, produce executive summaries, and make sound decisions in complex situations.
