Senior Legal Counsel (U.S.)

Location: Remote, with the role associated with Muscle Shoals, Alabama, United States

Part-time position, ideally covering 3–4 days per week with flexibility when needed.

What you will do

• Draft, negotiate, and manage U.S. sales, supplier, inter-company, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Develop U.S. contract templates and ensure compliant documentation and contract processes.
• Advise on federal acquisition regulations, DoD procurement, flow-down requirements, contract performance, and DoD standards.
• Support FOCI mitigation, CUI and DoD clearance policies, governance, compliance, and risk management.
• Work with Product on FCC certifications and licensing and support IP-related transactions.
• Train employees on EAR, ITAR, export and import requirements, and other U.S. legal matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law; a master's degree is preferred.
• Significant senior in-house legal counsel experience in a multinational defense-sector organization.
• Expertise in defense contracts and contract lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, DoD procurement, FCC licensing, and export controls.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, communication, presentation, and budgeting skills.
• Ability to work independently, build relationships across the business, and explain complex legal issues clearly.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with defense technologies.
• Compliance certifications, including CFCM or similar.
