Analyst, Finance Process Automation (Alteryx/SQL/Python)

Location: Santa Ana, California, United States — hybrid remote. The role must comply with US export-control requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Salary: $57,276–$95,459 per year. An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply.

What you will do

• Analyze finance processes, business requirements, data sources, business rules, and expected outputs.
• Develop and enhance data preparation and automation workflows using appropriate tools.
• Prepare, combine, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Test workflows, reconcile automated outputs with source data, investigate discrepancies, and document resolutions.
• Troubleshoot existing workflows and collaborate with IT and finance stakeholders on implementation and integration.
• Create technical documentation and user instructions, support training, and transition completed solutions into ongoing use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships, coursework, and academic or personal projects are welcome.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookup functions, PivotTables, and tabular data.
• Foundational experience with at least one data or automation technology, such as Alteryx, SQL, or Python.
• Ability to comply with US export-control and ITAR requirements; access to restricted ITAR data is limited to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building workflows in Alteryx.
• Experience with SQL querying, joining, and aggregating data.
• Experience with Python data analysis or automation libraries such as pandas, openpyxl, or numpy.
• Exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, accounting, Power BI, or Cognos Analytics.
• Alteryx Designer Core certification; Advanced certification is an additional plus.
