Senior Field Application Engineer (Ethernet Networking)

Location: Hod Hasharon, Israel; travel within Israel required as needed, with 0%–25% travel time

What you will do

• Own technical engagement for strategic and key accounts, building relationships with customer architecture, hardware, software, and validation teams.
• Translate data-center system requirements into Ethernet switch, PHY, network-interface, timing, and connectivity solutions.
• Support the full customer design cycle, including architecture and schematic reviews, configuration, board bring-up, interoperability testing, validation, debugging, and production readiness.
• Configure and validate Ethernet switch profiles covering VLANs, quality of service, traffic management, redundancy, security, TSN, and precision timing.
• Develop laboratory demonstrations and proofs of concept integrating switches, NICs, management interfaces, PCIe devices, firmware, software, and Linux-based systems.
• Coordinate with internal applications, product, software, sales, and marketing teams, and deliver technical training, workshops, and product demonstrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant applications engineering, systems engineering, or hardware/software design experience supporting complex semiconductor or networking solutions.
• Experience supporting strategic accounts through architecture, design, bring-up, validation, escalation, and production phases.
• Deep knowledge of Ethernet switching and networking, including TSN, PTP, transparent clocks, and timing profiles.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed board design and debugging, PCI Express architecture, Linux drivers, embedded Linux, firmware, and laboratory validation.
• Fluent spoken and written Hebrew and English required.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Practical PCIe laboratory and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with USB and PCIe-USB bridge devices.
