Salary: $340,000–$488,700 per year

What you will do

• Lead a multi-hub engineering organization with Engineering Directors, Senior Engineering Managers, and Principal Engineers.
• Build Horizon Catalog and metadata capabilities for data discovery, governance intent, data quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and open catalog standards.
• Scale secure data sharing, Zero Copy integrations, Native Apps, Data Clean Rooms, and Snowflake Marketplace across organizations, clouds, and regions.
• Develop search, business ontology, and data-context capabilities that help humans and AI agents understand enterprise data semantics.
• Architect data quality systems, including profiling, schema validation, drift detection, and real-time alerts.
• Partner with Product Management, Design, Security, and enterprise customers while driving operational excellence and 99.99%+ availability across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience in product infrastructure, distributed systems, or enterprise cloud platforms.
• 7+ years managing engineering directors, managers, and senior leaders across multi-team organizations.
• Strong experience with cloud-native distributed systems, metadata storage, query execution, caching, and cross-region replication.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, data classification, or privacy controls.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg, Apache Polaris, Unity Catalog, Hive Metastore, secure data sharing, data clean rooms, application distribution, or data marketplaces.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience architecting systems deployed natively across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong product intuition around enterprise administrators, data engineers, usability, and technical adoption.
