Director, SW Engineering (Kubernetes)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; most teams work from the office full time

Salary: $252,500–$346,500 per year, with potential bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of cloud infrastructure engineers.
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of core Prisma Access platform services.
• Architect, implement, monitor, and scale multi-cloud deployments and Kubernetes clusters for mission-critical applications.
• Establish best practices for container orchestration, CI/CD, cloud automation, security, networking, and governance.
• Work with development, DevOps, and security teams to streamline deployments and improve system reliability.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, SLA/SLO management, and capacity planning.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading large, distributed engineering organizations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, GCP, or OCI and cloud-native technologies.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, multi-cloud resource orchestration, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Helm, Terraform, Kustomize, ArgoCD, or Flux.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
