TL;DR
Documentation Coordinator (Document Management): Managing, reviewing, editing, tracking, and distributing organizational documentation with an accent on accuracy, quality assurance, compliance, and deadline control. Focus on maintaining document databases and version records, coordinating approvals and follow-ups, and resolving incomplete or inconsistent documentation.

Location: Washington, DC; required to work on-site at the contract work location. The role requires U.S. citizenship to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the T4 Public Trust level.

Salary: $21–$23 per hour

What you will do

  • Manage, organize, scan, maintain, and distribute organizational documentation.
  • Write, review, proofread, and edit documents and specifications for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and consistency.
  • Review incoming documentation for quality assurance, formatting, completeness, and compliance concerns.
  • Track documentation requests, submittals, revisions, approvals, deadlines, and outstanding items.
  • Maintain document databases, logs, trackers, timelines, version records, archives, and distribution processes.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors to clarify requirements and monitor progress.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain T4 Public Trust access to classified information.
  • On-site work required at the work location identified in the contract.
  • Associate’s degree and 1–3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint or similar document management systems.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, editing, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively in an open office environment.
