Lead Project Manager, Workplace Operations

Location: United States — Remote; approximately 25–50% travel required for active design and construction, site walks, inspections, and turnover.

What you will do

• Lead workplace design and construction projects from programming and design-team selection through bidding, construction, closeout, and warranty.
• Manage a portfolio of security, breakroom, industrial, and mixed-use build-outs across Dallas, Madison, and satellite sites.
• Own project budgets, commitments, forecasts, capital reporting, change orders, and cost-saving evaluations.
• Lead procurement and manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, landlords, property managers, brokers, and specialty vendors.
• Coordinate permitting, code reviews, inspections, facility licensing, FF&E, IT and security installations, utilities, signage, occupancy, and moves.
• Develop SOPs, design standards, templates, checklists, and intake workflows to create repeatable project-delivery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing design and construction projects, preferably as an owner’s representative or in-house project manager.
• Experience managing concurrent multi-site projects and representing an owner or client with external stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret construction documents, bids, and change orders and assess scope, cost, and risk.
• Strong project financial skills, advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency, and experience with Monday, Jira, or similar project-management platforms.
• Working knowledge of permitting, codes, inspections, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, virtual meeting platforms, and availability for 25–50% travel.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, pharmacy, laboratory, or industrial build-out experience.
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD or Revit viewers, Procore, Zip, Ramp, or Confluence.
