Project Manager - AEC

Location: Kansas City, MO, USA; hybrid work mode with three days in office

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary architectural and engineering design projects through all phases of delivery.
• Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, budgets, staffing, and project controls.
• Serve as the primary client contact during the design phase and support follow-on business opportunities.
• Coordinate communication across internal teams, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, risks, changes, financial performance, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, quality procedures, and delivery requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in an architecture or engineering design firm.
• Experience managing complex design projects or serving as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of architectural and engineering disciplines and the design project lifecycle.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced design environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences, food and beverage, AEC, pharma, or advanced manufacturing.
• Professional certification such as PMP or AECPM™, or willingness to obtain one.
