Site Automation Engineer (Robotics/PLC)

What you will do

• Support multiple robotic assembly systems deployed to a major technology customer.
• Act as the primary interface between remote technical experts, field service engineers, customer production leads, and manufacturing partners.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software anomalies using live data, diagnostic tools, and customer feedback.
• Collect customer feedback and contribute to continuous improvement and product roadmap development.
• Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Maintain status reports and provide responsive technical customer service.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience with automation and robotics environments, including automation systems and PLCs.
• Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience with vision systems, inspection, point-of-interest interpolation, labeling applications, industrial printers, and complex programming recipes.
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, electrical and pneumatic documentation, and 2D and 3D mechanical documentation.
• Ability to repair and maintain mechanical systems, analyze data, create technical documentation, and work independently.

Nice to have

• FANUC IR and FANUC DCS knowledge.
• Beckhoff PLC experience.
• MATROX and COGNEX vision systems experience.
• HERMES and ZEBRA industrial printer experience.
• SolidWorks, electronics manufacturing, command-line, LAN, or coding familiarity.
