TL;DR
Engineering Maintenance Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing): Maintaining and improving utilities systems, buildings, and production and non-production equipment at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site with an accent on GMP compliance, equipment reliability, and hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Focus on root cause failure analysis, preventive maintenance optimization, calibration compliance, PLC diagnostics, and supporting 24/7 operations.
Location: Fully onsite at Grange Castle, Dublin, Ireland. Shift work is required to support 24/7 operations. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Ireland; no relocation support is available.

What you will do
- Manage maintenance and reliability activities for utilities, buildings, and production and non-production equipment.
- Develop scopes of work, project execution plans, engineering studies, and short-term activity plans.
- Review preventive and corrective work orders, maintenance history, and equipment reliability plans.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and support investigations involving quality, operations, regulatory, and compliance teams.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance activities comply with current GMP, GxP, and aseptic practices.
- Support the development of the EAMS maintenance management database and preventive maintenance program.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or an electrical/mechanical trade qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience as an engineering or maintenance technician in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience with root cause failure analysis, PM/PdM optimization, or FMEA.
- Strong knowledge of current GMP/GxP requirements and hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and logic diagrams; experience with EAMS or similar engineering maintenance systems.
- Legally eligible to work in Ireland and able to work shifts onsite for 24/7 operations.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with commissioning, qualification, start-up, production support, process automation systems, PLC diagnostics, and instrumentation.
