Installation Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Leixlip, Ireland; extensive travel throughout Europe, approximately 75% of working time, with occasional opportunities to support installations worldwide.

Salary: €36,000–€49,500 per year

What you will do

• Install semiconductor production equipment through mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibration, integration, inspection, and troubleshooting.
• Follow installation checklists, procedures, schematics, security policies, and customer quality standards.
• Test equipment with support from senior engineers, documentation, and diagnostic techniques.
• Communicate equipment status, daily pass-downs, factory issues, non-conformances, and escalation updates.
• Participate in projects that reduce installation cycle time and costs.
• Work directly with customers and engineering teams to complete installations and hand over systems to service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a technical background in mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Junior profiles are welcome; full training on the equipment is provided through mentoring.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, autonomy, and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Project management skills for controlling installation budgets, timelines, and quality requirements.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout Europe, approximately 75% of working time. The role requires walking, prolonged standing, work in tight spaces and at height, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in clean-room environments with personal protective equipment.
