Buyer (Procurement)

What you will do

• Support procurement for local R&D, laboratory, and prototype engineering teams.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers according to sourcing and supplier quality procedures.
• Assist with supplier agreement negotiations and review pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Recommend and execute frame agreements when approved.
• Evaluate bids, issue purchase orders, and record goods receipts after delivery confirmation.
• Support suppliers with purchase order and invoicing questions, while monitoring delivery performance and resolving issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing or related experience.
• 3+ years of SAP experience and knowledge of purchasing-related T-codes.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing methods and techniques.
• Experience negotiating and managing supplier contracts and agreements.
• Ability to work at the Bloomfield, Connecticut site.
