Buyer III (Procurement)

Location: Deer Park, NY, USA; full-time, onsite role. Employment eligibility in the United States is verified through E-Verify.

Salary: $95,000–$100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Independently manage purchasing and procurement activities for materials, supplies, and services.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, commercial terms, lead times, and agreements.
• Build supplier relationships, monitor performance, and identify cost-reduction and risk-mitigation opportunities.
• Manage purchase orders from requisition through delivery, receipt, invoice resolution, and payment support.
• Monitor inventory, material requirements, and demand signals to coordinate replenishment.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Planning, and other departments to support production requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 5+ years of progressively responsible purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor performance and commercial relationships.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software; SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency are preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and apply purchasing processes, inventory management, supplier management, and internal controls.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CPSM, CPP, CPIM, or a related supply chain or procurement credential.
• Experience with supplier performance metrics, cost analysis, strategic sourcing, and process improvement.
