Senior Consulting Project Engineer, Substation

Location: West Sacramento, California; hybrid work from a remote office and an assigned location within the PG&E Service Territory

Annual salary: $173,856–$213,624

What you will do

• Manage large, complex engineering projects and perform engineering analyses and studies.
• Develop conceptual designs and innovative solutions for challenging technical issues.
• Lead root cause analyses and recommend solutions for local and system-wide problems.
• Develop technical policies, procedures, standards, specifications, construction documents, and guidelines.
• Represent the organization as a company witness, liaison, and technical information provider.
• Participate in industry associations and mentor engineering staff.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited US program, or an equivalent degree from outside the US.
• Current California Electrical PE license.
• 13 years of cumulative experience in electrical engineering and design.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with an assigned location within the PG&E Service Territory.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience in substation engineering.
• Advanced experience in power system infrastructure.
