Sr. Electrical Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite work includes hands-on electrical activities in a clean room and on prototype tools.

Salary: $117,800–$172,800 annually.

What you will do

• Design and validate analog, digital, and mixed-signal prototype and production boards, including schematic capture, board bring-up, power, and signal integrity.
• Contribute to FPGA-based designs, embedded interfaces, system integration, and system-level debugging.
• Assemble, integrate, modify, rework, and repair electronic boards, cables, connectors, and harnesses.
• Install, power up, validate, and troubleshoot prototype semiconductor equipment in the clean room.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and electrical redesigns for complex board and system issues.
• Collaborate with program managers, mechanical, software, systems, and mechatronics engineers, as well as external vendors; travel to vendors for troubleshooting and qualification activities.

Requirements

• Doctorate with no related experience, master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment or a similarly complex electromechanical industry is preferred.
• Experience designing and owning mixed-signal PCBs and system-level electrical interfaces.
• Strong understanding of system integration, signal integrity, and grounding.
• Experience with FPGA or embedded interfaces and system-level debugging.
• Ability to perform hands-on design validation and electrical work on prototype tools.
