Sr. Principal Test Engineer (RF/Silicon Photonics)

Base pay: $162,000–$239,760 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and equity plans.

What you will do

• Lead test engineering across new silicon bring-up, sampling, qualification, characterization, and high-volume manufacturing at OSATs.
• Own complete test solutions, including software, tester equipment, PCBs, mechanical fixtures, probe hardware, and sockets.
• Drive test-time reduction, yield improvements, manufacturing-process improvements, and expanded wafer-probe and package-level test coverage.
• Implement automated test processes and coordinate test-station availability with Operations and Planning.
• Support customer returns in partnership with Quality Engineering and manage NPI test development with global OSAT partners.
• Mentor and guide lower-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience sustaining high-speed RF products and silicon photonics products in volume production.
• Experience with RF, mixed-signal, and silicon photonics IC testing, product engineering, yield analysis, cost reduction, and manufacturing-process improvement.
• Experience with complex semiconductor data analysis using JMP, Silicon Dash, PDF solutions, or comparable tools.
• Hands-on wafer-sort analysis for analog devices at 67GHz, 110G, or higher, with a solid understanding of DFM for SiGe semiconductor technologies.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology and software; export-license review may be required before employment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with network analyzers, sampling oscilloscopes, power supplies, and power meters.
• Experience testing and characterizing high-speed TIAs, drivers, and silicon photonics components.
• Ability to clearly summarize engineering findings for management audiences.
