Sr Engineer II, Electronics (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 annual base salary, plus bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for medical device applications.
• Drive hardware development across schematic design, implementation, verification, and sustaining engineering.
• Support PCB layout, board bring-up, and high-speed design activities.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to integrate hardware into finished products.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input at major project milestones.
• Investigate product and component failures and recommend corrective design improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in electronics design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle from concept through production.
• Ability to work on-site in Irvine, California.

Nice to have

• Experience designing medical devices or other regulated products.
• Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 and related compliance standards.
• Experience with EMC/EMI design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to signal integrity, power integrity, and electrical simulation tools such as PSPICE or Multisim.
