What you will do

• Lead, mentor, recruit, and develop the AcuShape software engineering team.
• Guide architecture, design, implementation, testing, security, maintenance, and scalability for C# and C++ applications on .NET and Windows.
• Define technical requirements, roadmaps, engineering plans, release schedules, and resource priorities with product and cross-functional teams.
• Optimize computationally intensive scientific workflows for performance, numerical accuracy, scalability, and reliability.
• Evaluate HPC, parallel computing, GPU acceleration, cloud computing, AI-assisted development, and automation opportunities.
• Support customer escalations, root-cause analysis, stakeholder communication, and collaboration with global engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in computer science, software engineering, physics, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including significant C#, C++, and .NET development.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and modern development practices.
• Experience delivering complex Windows-based software and working with scientific, engineering, or computationally intensive applications.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver software products with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor metrology, process control, lithography, optical modeling, or related domains.
• Experience with scientific modeling, simulation, optimization, numerical computing, HPC, GPU computing, parallel processing, or distributed systems.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams and using WPF, WinUI, or other modern desktop UI frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile development, release management, machine learning, AI-assisted development workflows, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
