Senior Manager, Staff Software Engineering - Applied AI

What you will do

• Lead and grow engineering teams responsible for Applied AI platform capabilities.
• Define technical strategy for foundational AI platforms, shared services, orchestration, reusable skills, and agentic workflows.
• Partner with product, architecture, domain, and business leaders to build scalable platform solutions.
• Oversee secure, resilient, and extensible systems supporting AI experiences across customer and internal channels.
• Establish engineering standards for architecture, development, quality, observability, and operations.
• Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform vision and organizational growth.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including distributed systems and platform capabilities at scale.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
• Strong background in platform engineering, APIs, orchestration systems, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience leading Applied AI, intelligent systems, conversational AI, or workflow automation initiatives in production.
• Ability to influence cross-functional strategy and drive execution across complex organizations.
• Excellent communication, technical judgment, and people leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with large language model applications, agent frameworks, AI orchestration, evaluation, or governance.
• Experience building customer-facing or internal assistant platforms.
• Experience creating reusable platforms across multiple teams and product areas.
