Procurement Category Manager (AI)

Location: Denver, Colorado, or San Francisco, California, United States. Expected to work from the office 3+ days a week. A relocation stipend may be available for relocation to a hirify.global hub.

Salary: $151,000–$178,000 USD in San Francisco; $128,000–$151,000 USD in Denver.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end procurement for assigned categories, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
• Develop procurement strategies that drive cost savings, cost avoidance, and improved vendor performance.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to align procurement decisions with organizational goals.
• Lead complex contract negotiations and facilitate transparent, competitive RFX processes.
• Monitor industry and technology trends, especially in AI, to identify vendor opportunities and support innovation.
• Create reports and present actionable insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, RFX development and analysis, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
• Experience influencing strategy, driving decisions, and achieving measurable results.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, judgment, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives and manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
