Staff Organizational Change Management Specialist

Location: San Diego, California, United States; Workplace: On-site

Salary: $130,000–$190,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular employees.

What you will do

• Build the organizational change management program for IT, Enterprise Operations, and Cybersecurity, including frameworks, templates, playbooks, intake processes, and success metrics.
• Own change strategy and execution for identity and access management, endpoint management, security controls, compliance programs, ERP and business system rollouts, collaboration migrations, and IT service models.
• Assess stakeholder impact, readiness, and risk across engineering, manufacturing, flight operations, and corporate teams.
• Create communications, training, FAQs, how-to guides, videos, office hours, and change champion networks.
• Measure adoption through ticket volume, usage telemetry, compliance rates, and surveys, then adjust rollout plans.
• Coordinate release and change calendars and represent end-user needs in technical decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of organizational change management experience, including at least 3 years supporting IT, security, or enterprise technology programs.
• Technical fluency with SSO/MFA, identity providers such as Okta and Entra ID, MDM tools such as Intune and Jamf, ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Management, SaaS migrations, and security controls.
• Experience building a change function or program from the ground up.
• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to explain complex specifications clearly.
• Ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-moving, high-growth environment.
• Practical experience with Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, or a similar change methodology.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated environments, including CMMC, ITAR, FedRAMP, or NIST.
• Prosci or CCMP certification.
• Background in IT project management, service delivery, technical training, security awareness, or compliance programs.
