Building Engineer

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and daily checks for building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems.
• Maintain operating logs for air conditioning, fan units, utility meters, general complaints, and other building systems.
• Respond to tenant and client service requests, prioritize work orders, and follow up to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate contractor, tenant, and management approvals for work orders.
• Monitor life safety, fire protection, security, cooling tower, and boiler operations.
• Maintain inventory, records, schedules, and relationships with property managers, suppliers, and department leaders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in building or property maintenance, preferably in commercial buildings.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment, including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, and VAVs.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, energy management, and other building mechanical systems.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and a clear motor vehicle record.
• Flexibility to be on-call for after-hours and weekend emergency requests.
