Building Engineer

What you will do

• Maintain and review daily operating logs for air-conditioning systems, fan units, utility meters, graph charts, and general complaints.
• Respond to tenant service requests and ensure building systems operate efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Conduct inspections, alarm testing, and preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
• Support annual budgeting and the RFP process for budgeted projects.
• Monitor proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
• Coordinate with property managers, suppliers, department leaders, and clients while managing work orders, inventory, records, and schedules.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in building or property maintenance, or building engineering.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, energy management systems, and building mechanical equipment.
• Experience with work-order and preventative-maintenance software systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license, strong organizational and analytical skills, and excellent communication skills.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
