Sr. Program Manager

Location: Hybrid, with work from a remote office and PG&E's Oakland headquarters as required

Salary: $105,000–$169,000 per year; Bay Area midpoint: $137,000. Eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Manage project submissions and ongoing compliance for the DOE loan program and other government awards.
• Identify, vet, and submit eligible PG&E projects, supporting the lifecycle through DOE loan authorization.
• Partner with Project Management, Environmental, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Policy stakeholders to gather data and documentation.
• Communicate DOE requirements, timelines, expectations, project updates, risks, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Improve submission and compliance processes, including dashboards and AI tools.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, summarize findings, and provide actionable business insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience in project controls, project management, program management, or a similar discipline.
• Experience with major construction projects and environmental permitting is preferred.
• Experience in a regulated electric or gas utility or with government-funded projects is preferred.
• Experience with Analysis for Office reports, Power BI, Salesforce, SAP, Snowflake, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Dataverse, or P6 is preferred.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Public Policy, Sociology, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
